Remote window closing/opening
(if equipped)
Operation
僅 Press and hold the door lock button
on the smart key to close the win -
dows. The windows will move up as
long as the button is pressed.
僅 Press and hold the door unlock button
on the smart key to open the win
-
dows. The windows will move down as
long as the button is pressed.
僅 Remote window operation can be
activated or deactivated through the
infotainment system menu.
WARNING
僅 Do not install any accessories in the
area of windows. It may impact jam
protection.
僅 Always check for obstructions before
raising any window to avoid injuries or
vehicle damage. If an object less than
4 mm (0.16 inches) in diameter is
caught between the window glass and
the upper window channel, the auto
-
matic reverse window may not detect
the resistance and will not stop and
reverse direction.
僅 The automatic reverse feature is not
activated while resetting power win
-
dow system. Make sure body parts or
other objects are safely out of the way
before closing the windows to avoid
injuries or vehicle damage.
僅 NEVER leave the keys in your vehicle
with unsupervised children, when the
vehicle is running.
僅 NEVER leave any child unattended in
the vehicle. Even very young children
may inadvertently cause the vehicle
to move, entangle themselves in the
windows, or otherwise injure them
-
selves or others.
僅 Always double check to make sure all
arms, hands, head and other obstruc
-
tions are safely out of the way before
closing a window.
僅 Do not allow children play with the
power windows. Keep the driver's
door power window lock button in the
LOCK position (pressed). SERIOUS
INJURY can result from unintentional
window operation by the child.
僅 Do not extend heads or any limbs out
-
side the window while the vehicle is in
motion.
僅 Make sure body parts of other objects
are safely out of the way before
remote closing the windows to avoid
injuries or vehicle damage.
CAUTION
僅 To prevent possible damage to the
power window system, do not open or
close two windows or more at the
same time. This will also ensure the
longevity of the fuse.
僅 Never try to operate the main switch
on the driver's door and the individual
door window switch in opposite direc
-
tions at the same time. If this is done,
the window will stop and cannot be
opened or closed.
