Windshield defrosting and defogging
To cancel automatic defogging logic or
return to the automatic defogging logic,
do the following.
Canceling/returning automatic
defogging logic
1. Turn the ignition switch or ENGINE
START/STOP button to the ON posi
-
tion.
2. Press the defroster button .
3. While pressing the air conditioning (A/
C) button, press the air intake control
button at least 5 times within 3 sec
-
onds.
The recirculation indicator blinks 3
times in 0.5 second of intervals. It indi
-
cates that the defogging logic is can
-
celed or returned to the programmed
status.
If the battery has been discharged or
disconnected, it resets to the defogging
logic status.
When starting the vehicle in cold
weather using manual temperature con
-
trol, operate the system in the following
method to improve heating.
僅 Turn off or lower the blower, right
after starting the engine.
僅 Allow the engine to warm up during
this time since the air flow from the
heater is still cold.
僅 After a few minutes of engine warm
up, turn on or set the fan to a higher
level and adjust the temperature set
-
ting to hot.
A/C Automatic Drying
A/C Automatic Drying feature dries the
moisture in the air conditioner and
reduces air conditioner odor. The blower
motor automatically operates after 30
minutes the vehicle is turned off.

the infotainment system. See additional
information in supplied infotainment
manual.
If the operating condition is satisfied, a
symbol (1) will be displayed on the cli
-
mate control display (only for automatic
control) and then the blower motor will
automatically operate on schedule. The
symbol will be blinking.
When the A/C Automatic Drying feature
is activated, the air conditioner sets the
fan speed to the third level, selects Fresh
mode, and directs the air flow to the
vent.
