Specific Target Organ Toxicity (STOT) – single exposure
Exposure to nitrogen gas at high concentrations can cause suffocation by reducing oxygen available for
breathing. Breathing very high concentrations can cause dizziness, shortness of breath,
unconsciousness or asphyxiation.
