Enhancing by Example
1 Open a picture file.
2 Click on Enhance and select
By Example from the
pulldown menu.
The Filter By Example
window appears with a
reduced version of the
original picture in the upper
right corner. The blue square
controls the part of the
picture that appears in the
nine sample boxes. Drag the
blue square in the reduced
version to view the different
areas of the picture.
The middle sample box
corresponds to the current
picture setting.
3 Click on the appropriate
Picture Enhancement option:
✔ Focus to sharpen.
✔ Exposure to adjust
lightness or darkness.
✔ Brightness/Contrast to
adjust the tones.
✔ Color to adjust the color
balance.
✔ Variations to adjust the
amount of enhancement.
