This
function is used to edit the Drum K it sounds and assign them to Programs of the Drum Kit mode. Up to
30 kinds of drum sounds can be assigned to each of the 4 Drum Kits ( 1 to 4).

Index selects the drum sound to edit.
Select the drum sound by using Inst (instrument) . (See the back cover for the list of drum sounds.)
When using the PCM card (optional) which has drum sounds s tored in it , sounds in the card can be
selected by adjusting the VALUE dial. (When playing th e s ound color whi ch uses a drum sound from
the card, make sure to put the correct card in the slot.)
Set all the instruments of the inde x which do not n ee d to be assigned to "No Assign ".
Key sets th e key (CO to G8) to whi ch the sound is assigned. The n ame of the key is i ndi cated wh en the
octave is set to 8 '.
Two or mor e sounds cannot be assigned to the same key .
Any sound a ssi gned to a k ey will also o cc up y all unassi gne d k ey s ben ea th it, or up to the n ext assigned
key.
It is pos s ibl e to assign the same sound with the same pit ch to se v era l di ff ere nt keys.
