7.1 Dangers during connection work
The following safety instructions must be strictly observed:
o Have all work only carried out by electricians.
o The connecting lines of the sensor connections are to be shielded and laid separately from the
supply and measuring lines.
o Ensure that the power supply is correct (24VDC).
7.2 Connecting cables to the tension spring terminals
Personnel qualification: o Electrician
Personal protective equipment: o Work clothing
Aids: o KRAL tool set
o Diagonal cutter
DANGER
Risk of death resulting from electric shock if the connection of hazardous potentials (>48V) to
the potential-free relay outputs (orange terminals 9-11 and/or 42-44) is required.
► Before wiring these potential-free relay switch contacts, ensure that all wires for this purpose are
potential-free.
Requirement:
ü Cable shortened to correct length
ü All wires stripped to approx. 5mm
1. Remove the rear device cover1 and remove the terminal tool2.
2. Use the diagonal cutter4 to adapt the cable entry3 to the cable diameter.
3. Pull the cable5 through the cable entry3.
4. Hook the short arbour of the terminal tool2 into the tension spring terminal6 and press away
from the cable opening so that the cable opening opens.
5. Insert the wire7 into the cable opening and remove the terminal tool2.
6. Repeat Steps4 and5 for all the wires.
7. Replace the rear device cover1.
