Handling the swather when in use
4.3 Converting from transport to
working position
Before lowering the rotor, make certain
there is no one in the slewing range of
the rotor!
Do not run the swather disks in the
transport position or with retracted
guard bar!
Activate the single-action control valve on the tractor;
extend the front left and rear right rotors out all the
way.
Operate single acting control valve on the tractor and
apply pressure to the hydraulic cylinders. This will
release the lock (1).
Unlock the lock (1) by pulling the actuating cable (2).
Keep cable under tension.
Use the control valve to slowly lower the rotor until
the wheels are on the ground.
Release the actuating cable (2).
4.3.1 Lowering the rotor arms
During work operation, leave the
control valve in „Lower“ position.

When switching from the transport to the working
position, a specific order must be followed.
Controlled shut-off of the valves
between the width adjustment cylinders
and the lifting cylinders on the rotor
arms prevent the rotor arms from
swinging down accidentally.
Because of this, you should first extend the front left
and rear right rotors entirely. After you have done this
and only then, the rotor arms can be swivelled into the
working position.
