Parallel Interface Connection

Plug one end of the printer cable (not
included) into the parallel interface con-
nection on the rear side of the printer.

Close the clips on both sides to fix the con-
nector in place.
Plug the other end of the printer cable
into the computer’s parallel interface
connector.
USB (Universal Serial Bus) Interface Connection

Plug one end of the USB cable (not
included) into the rear of the printer.

Plug the other end of the USB cable into
the computer’s USB interface connector.
Network Interface Connection
Plug the network cable (not included) into
the network interface connection on the right
side of the printer.
•Use a parallel printer cable that
complies with the IEEE1284
standards.
•For best results, install the
printer close to the computer. The
cable should be shielded and be
no longer than 3 meters (10 feet).
Parallel Printer Cable
•Use a cable that complies with
Revision 2.0 of USB standards (a
rectangular type A plug and a
square type B plug).
•The connecting cable should be
shielded and not be longer then 5
meters (16 feet).
USB Cable
An Ethernet interface cable (straight
cable) is required to connect the
printer to the network environment.
