3. Remove the heat roller separation claws from
the upper fuser cover.
4. Replace the heat roller separation claws and
refit all the removed parts.

(3) Detaching and refitting the press roller
Follow the procedure below to replace the press roller.
Procedure
1. Remove the fuser unit (see page 1-6-18).
2. Remove the upper fuser cover (see page 1-6-
18).
3. Remove the front and rear press springs.

4. Detach the press roller from the fuser unit
and remove the front and rear bearings.
5. Replace the press roller and refit all the
removed parts.
