Access to the ram under the floor of slide, sofa or dinette, is from
the front. Lippert Component System has a smaller motor, less
draw and requires a 5/8” socket, ratchet and probably an extension
shaft.
MANUAL OVERRIDE - BEDROOM SLIDE
Access to move slide when no power is available is under the bed.
1. Remove any and all cargo underbelly.
2. Pull up plywood panel covering mechanism.
3. Find shaft on front side of gear box. Use 3/4” socket and
ratchet to turn shaft in direction you wish to move slide.
KING SLIDE CABLE SYSTEM
In a framework attached to the rear wall are a series of pulleys,
cables, and brackets pre-assembled and not visible.
Cables (8) are attached to brackets mounted, (1) in each corner of
slide out leading to adjustable brackets inside of the coach, under
cover at floor level, for adjustment needs to seal in or out position.
Adjustment bracket is attached to a chain, driven by a 12 volt D.C.
motor attached to a gear box. Any required adjustment needs are
to be performed by a selling or servicing dealer. Electrical system is
protected by a 30 amp breaker located in 12 volt fuse panel in the
load center.
For 12 volt light, you need to plug power in to wall socket on rear
wall above slide. DO NOT forget to unplug light before moving slide
in for travel; damage to wiring will occur.
MANUALLY MOVING THE ROOM
Locate the flexible shaft in yours owners packet. Attach flexible
shaft to the 1/4” hex fitting on the end of the motor. Attach 1/4”
socket and ratchet to the other end, and turn in the proper direction
to move the room. If cables tighten, and motor is difficult to turn,
reverse the direction. Over torquing can happen, resulting in severe
damage.
DO NOT tow the trailer with the rear slide-out room in the OUT position. If the trailer
is towed with the rear slide-out extended, the KZRV Limited Warranty will be void.
