LANDING — BOTH ENGINES INOPERATIVE
Airplane best glide speed, in the clean configuration, is VREF + 60. The
still-air gliding distance is approximately 2 nm per 1000 feet of altitude.
1. If time permits:
a. Transponder — Emergency 7700.
b. Advise controlling agency.
c. Prepare passengers for emergency landing.
d. NO SMOKING/FASTEN SEAT BELTS Sign ON.
2. FUEL JTSN Switch ON (lights on). Set switch Off (lights out)
after jettisoning is complete or prior to touchdown.
3. HYD PUMP Switch — On.
4. LANDING GEAR Switch DN.
5. Flaps — DN.
6. FIRE PULL or ENG FIRE PULL T-HandlesPull.
Pulling the FIRE PULL or ENG FIRE PULL T-Handles
stops the flow of fuel and hydraulic fluid to the engines,
shuts off bleed air from the engines and arms the engine
fire extinguisher systems.
7. START-GEN Switches — OFF.
8. Battery Switches — OFF.
9. EMER BAT or EMER PWR Switch(es) — OFF prior to touchdown.
10. Touch down in normal landing attitude.
11. After touchdown, Cabin Door and Emergency Exit Open.
