BEFORE STARTING ENGINES (CONT)
f. Control Wheel — Rotate to full left, rudder pedals will deflect
to the left. Rotate to full right, rudder pedals will deflect to the
right.
g. SEC ENG OFF Button — Depress. SEC ENG light will extin-
guish and yaw damper will disengage.
h. PRI ENG Button Depress. PRI ENG light will illuminate.
i. Depress first one rudder pedal and then the other while hold-
ing control wheel centered. It must be possible to depress each
rudder pedal against the opposition of the yaw damper system.
The Yaw Force Indicator will indicate the direction of input
j. Control Wheel — Rotate to full left, rudder pedals will deflect
to the left. Rotate to full right, rudder pedals will deflect to the
right.
k. Control Wheel Master Switch (MSW) — Depress. PRI ENG
light will extinguish and yaw damper will disengage.
24. Fuel Panel:
a. Fuel Counter — Zero.
b. Fuel Quantities — Check.
c. CROSSFLOW Switch — CLOSE.
d. FUS TANK XFER-FILL Switch — OFF.
e. L STANDBY PUMP Switch — ON. Check annunciator in
switch (if applicable) illuminated and L FUEL PRESS light (red)
not illuminated.
f. L STANDBY PUMP Switch Off. Check annunciator in
switch (if applicable) extinguishes.
g. R STANDBY PUMP Switch ON. Check annunciator in
switch (if applicable) illuminated and R FUEL PRESS light (red)
not illuminated.
h. R STANDBY PUMP Switch Off. Check annunciator in
switch (if applicable) extinguishes.
i. FUS VALVE Switch (if installed) — CLOSE.
j. FUEL JTSN Switch — Off.
25. CVR Test.
26. DRAG CHUTE Handle (if installed) — Stowed.
27. Takeoff Data (N
1, V1, VR, V2, Takeoff Distance) — Computed and
bugs set (Refer to Section V).
