Major Components Explanation (Part 1)

Flush Tank

Contains fluids for flushing and cleaning the pump and system.

Igniter

Used to light burners for heating; requires caution due to gas and fuel.

Engine

Available engines are Honda or Briggs & Stratton, requiring clean gas.

Jack Stand

Used for hooking/unhooking unit from truck; secure wheels to prevent rolling.

Relief Valve

Adjusts pump pressure; set to minimum for pump longevity.

Fill Neck

Location for filling tack tank; ensure splash plate is in place.

Propane Tank

Used for heating tack; tank pressure should be 8-10 lbs.

Burners

Heat the tack; light with igniter only after ensuring burner valves are off.

Spray Wand

Sprays tack; features an on/off ball valve for small areas and edges.

Liquid Asphalt Valve

Pumps liquid asphalt from tank to spray wand or bar; must be off for flushing.

Distributor Valve
