Appendix E Sensor Naming Convenons
The model name of an environmental sensor package consists of sensor family, sensor funcons and
the total number of the specied funcons.
[Family] - [Function_1] [Number_1]
- OR -
[Family] - [Function_1] [Number_1] [Function_2] [Number_2]
[Family] is DX or DX2.
[Number_1] and [Number_2] are integer numbers.
[Funcon_1] and [Funcon_2] are abbreviaons represenng diverse funcons.
Note: Some sensor packages may indicate the main funcon only rather than indicang all funcons in
its name. For example, the name of DX2VBR indicates that it contains the vibraon sensor while it does
not indicate the contact closure sensor that it also contains.
