Repeaters are used to extend the wireless coverage area in a DECT network. The Repeater provides a larger
geographical spread of the traffic channels and increases the coverage area but it does not increase the
number of channels available. The Repeater is normally used in areas with limited coverage e.g. long
hallways, stairwells, and corridors.
The Repeater is wireless with no connection to the IP-DECT Server or Base Station; however it does need
connection to a battery backed power supply.
LED INDICATOR
The front cover Status LED will indicate the Repeater status by different colours and flash patterns, see the
table below;
Busy (all channels in use)
Error – no over air sync possible
RESET BUTTON
You can restart the Repeater by pressing the RESET button on the bottom face.
PROGRAMMING
Refer to the manufacturer’s installation guide for full instructions – see section 6 of this manual.
Programming kit (P/No. ZXT509) is required, the Service Tool software can be downloaded via the link in
section 6 of this manual.
