(into a corner or up against fencing). You can also programme a wait into a route if necessary, giving the cows
time to get out of the way.
• Programming is done at the usual speed (default 300). The speed is automatically reduced to 180 when the
route is traversed.
• The routes can be started up manually during these first days. Or they can be defined automatically using the
timeline.
• The beep can be switched on and off for each route. If a warning signal is given, the cows have time to move
out of the way. However, the sound may equally well disturb other cows (see which settings suit your herd
best).
• Extend the routes slowly so that the cattle have time to get used to it.
• If the barn cleaner comes up against an obstacle in the cowshed while traversing a route, for example a cow
that won't move, then the barn cleaner reverses and tries again (up to 3x), then goes back again and makes
a turn to the left or right. This depends on the previous action (left or right wall tracking / ultrasonic). Turns 45
degrees and goes round it in a curve, until it can find the original route again.
