Dependingontheoptionsyouordered,yourcomputermighthaveanintegratedngerprintreader.By
enrollingyourngerprintandassociatingitwithapower-onpassword,aharddiskpassword,orboth
passwordsbeforehand,youcanstartthecomputer,logontothesystem,andentertheThinkPadSetupby
swipingyourngeroverthereader,withouttypingapassword.Thusngerprintauthenticationcanreplace
passwordsandenablesimpleandsecureuseraccess.
Enrollingyourngerprint
1.Turnonyourcomputer.
2.TostartLenovoFingerprintsoftware,referto“Lenovoprograms”onpage15.
3.Followtheinstructionsonthescreentoenrollyourngerprint.Fordetails,refertotheHelpforthe
program.
