6 Help in the event of errors

6.1 First value log for The 8230 frequency inverter is protected by monitors. Events which do not put the
error messages unit directly at risk are recorded in an event log accessible on the extended menu.
The extended menu is only accessible after entering the password.
Errors which put the unit at risk are displayed on the basic menu under
DIAGNOSIS ERROR: _FIRSTVALUE.
6.2 Switching sequence on errors As soon as an error occurs, the 8230 frequency inverter switches off the output
current and de-energises the internal DC contactor. The “Error” LED and the output
terminal :21/:22 "Error” are switched on, the “On” LED and the output terminal :19/:20
“On” are switched off.
The error message cannot be acknowledged as long as the cause of the error
persists. If the cause is no longer evident or present, the LEDs and the output at
terminal :17/:18 “Ready” are switched on. The error message can be acknowledged at
the input terminal :19 with “Acknowledge”. The first value log is then erased and the
LEDs and the output terminal :21/:22 ”Error” are switched off.
6.3 Event log The event log records each change in the status of the control (errors, events, inputs)
with the time (hours, minutes, seconds, milliseconds). Events are recorded in the
event log until the first value reaches memory location 15. Thus, in addition to the
event which triggered the occurrence also the prior history and possible subsequent
errors are recorded in the log. The event log has 32 memory locations where the last
32 events are stored. When more events occur, the oldest event is erased from the
log.
The contents of the event log can be examined by entering the event number on the
menu
08 DIAGNOSIS OUTPUT EVENT NO:
Memory locations in the event log are counted through from 1 to 32. Location 32
contains the most recent event and location 1 contains the oldest.
6.4 Events Events do not necessarily cause the inverter to be shut down but are recorded in the
event log to provide information about the history of the error.
The log shows whether an event is active [+] or inactive [-].
