3. Commissioning
• It is only permissible to commission the teachware in a dry and clean environment.
• Open the case lid and place the teachware with the controls facing forwards on a solid, even
base. The base must be suitable for absorbing the forces and torques occurring during operation.
Make sure that nothing can fall and that there is no danger of crushing.
• Ensure that there is enough space in front of the teachware so that the control panel are freely
accessible and there is room for the switching systems including wiring and, if necessary, for fur-
ther components and your documents. Place the case lid beside the teachware in order to have
all the available components ready to hand.
3.1. Before initial switch-on
Before each commissioning, check whether …
• … the motors and flywheels as well as all other mechanical components are fixed safely.
• … all screw connections of the electrical parts are tightened firmly.
Important notes
The i550 inverter in the teachware can be equipped with various Control Units (CU) in-
cluding a network for connection to a higher-level controller.
