3.6. Connection of external motors
For temporary demonstrations and tests, you can connect externally on the teachware case different
AC motors appropriate to the power class of the inverter (0.25 kW or 0.37 kW, respectively). The
connection is
• For the motor cable via the Speedtec sockets on the front face of the teachware
• For the motor encoder via the switching system IO (digital inputs DI3, DI4).
The maximum permitted motor cable length at the Speedtec plug is 2 m.
Important note!
Due to the closed construction the teachware has a restricted ventilation and cooling sys-
tem. Long operating with high output power can trigger the temperature monitoring of
the devices.
