• Make sure that all areas of the printer are dry after cleaning.
5 Connect the power cord to the electrical outlet, and then turn on the printer.
CAUTION—POTENTIAL INJURY: To avoid the risk of fire or electrical shock, connect the power cord
to an appropriately rated and properly grounded electrical outlet that is near the product and easily
accessible.
Cleaning the printhead lenses
1 Open the front door.
2 Remove the toner cartridge and imaging unit.
3 From the printhead access opening (A) in the top of the frame at the front of the printer, find the printhead
lens.
4 Insert a soft, lint‑free cloth in the opening, and gently move the cloth back and forth along the surface of
the lens to clean it.
5 Repeat step 4.
6 Reinstall the imaging unit and toner cartridge.
7 Close the front door.
