a) Check the brake pedal height.

b) Check the brake pedal free play.
Push in the pedal by hand and
check that the pedal free play is
within the specification.
Pedal free play:
1-2mm(0.04-0.08in.)
c) Check brake pedal reserve dis-
tance.
Release the parking brake. With
the engine running, depress the
brake pedal and measure the
pedal reserve distance.
Pedal reserve distance from as-
phalt sheet at 200 N (20 kgf, 45
lbf):
95 mm (3.74 in.)
