D12. HEADLIGHT AIM (MANDATORY)
It is mandatory that respective ve-
hicle headlights are aimed during
PDS.
Notes:
D Perform aiming adjustment with
Low-beam.
D Since the Low-beam light and
the High-beam light are a unit, if
aiming on either side is correct,
the other side should also be
correct.
a) Vehicle preparation for headlight
aim adjustment
1. Prepare the vehicle:
D Ensure there is no damage
or deformation to the body
around the headlights.
D Fill the fuel tank.
D Make sure that the oil is
filled to the specified level.
D Make sure that the coolant
is filled to the specified
level.
D Inflate the tires to the ap-
propriate pressure.
D Place the spare tire, tools,
and jack in their original
positions.
D Unload the trunk.
D Sit a person of average
weight 68 kg (150 lb) in
the driver ’s seat.
