HEATER
With touch screen—Before checking
the air conditioning and heater, push
the “CLIMATE” button to display
switches for automatic air conditioning
controls.
Warm up the engine and turn on the
“A/C” button, then check for smooth
operation of each control as follows:
a) Press the fan speed button (Hi)
and set the temperature to
“85 _F” with the “TEMP” button.
b) Press the windshield defogger
button and check that the i ndica-
tor light illuminates.
c) Check that hot air flows out of
the front defroster vents.
d) Without touch screen—Set the air
flow mode to “FOOT” and check
that hot air flows out of the foot
vents. Set the air flow mode to
“FOOT” with the “MODE ” button
and check that hot air flows out
of the foot vents.
e) Check that the air flow volume
changes when the fan speed but-
ton is pressed.
f) Without rear air conditioning sys-
tem—Press “AUTO” button and
the “DUAL” button (indicator on)
in order and lower the tempera-
ture of the driver’s side with the
“TEMP” button.
With rear air conditioning sys-
tem—Press “AUTO” button and
the “4 ïZONE” button (indicator
on) in order and lower the tem-
perature of the driver ’s side with
the “TEMP” button.
g) Check that the display of the air
flow mode and the air flow vol-
ume changes automatically.
h) Set the temperature of the driv-
er ’s side at “65 _F”.
i) Check that the temperature of the
passenger side remains at “85
_F”.
j) Without touch screen—Set the air
flow mode to “FACE”.
