B08. TILT AND TELESCOPIC
STEERING WHEEL
Check tilt and telescopic steering
wheel operation.
a) Manual Switch Operation
Tilt Steering Wheel:
With the engine switch in the
“ACC” or “IG-ON” mode, push the
control switch up or down to set
the steering wheel in the desired
height position.
Telescopic S teering Wheel:
With the engine switch in the
“ACC” or “IGïON” mode, push
the control switch forward or
backward to set the steering
wheel in the desired position.
b) Automatic Tilt-Away Operation
D When the engine switch is
selected in the “OFF”
mode, the steering column
moves forward away from
the driver and also tilts up.
D When the engine switch is
selected in the “ACC” or
“IG-ON” mode, the steer-
ing column returns to the
previously set position.
