Engine start / stop
a) Carry the electronic key in the
vehicle and apply the parking
brake.
b) Check that the shift lever is the
“P” position.
c) When depressing the brake pedal,
check that the green engine switch
illuminator comes on and push the
engine switch to start the engine.
d) Push the engine switch regard-
less of brake position to stop the
engine.
B03. SEAT BELTS
Check seat belt operation.
a) Check that each belt extends and
retracts smoothly.
b) Check that the belts are not
twisted.
c) Check that the buckles lock se-
curely and release smoothly.
d) Check that the adjustable seat
belt anchors operate properly.
B04. CHILD PRO TECTOR LOCKS
Check that the rear doors cannot be
opened by the i nside handle but
can be opened by the outside han-
dle when the child protector is in
the locked position.
B05. INITIALIZATION OF FRONT
MEMORY SEAT ECU
