Cleaning the battery and battery compart-
ment
CAUTION
This is a delicate operation, and requires the
wearing of gloves, goggles and acid-resistant
clothing.
Observe the precautions stipulated in the preceding
chapters. Do not dispose of acid-polluted washing water
in drains.
For further information, refer to the instructions supplied
with the battery.

surface of the cells with a damp cloth.

Checking the condition of battery cables,
terminals and connector

connections show no sign of overheating.

are no
t
sulphated (indicated by the presence of a white salt-like
deposit).

presence of the locating pin.
ATTENTION
Failure to observe the above procedures may
result in serious damage. Please contact your
local representative as quickly as possible to
remedy any such damage.
