1.6. ISP – Intelligent System Protection
ISP is a state-of-the-art protection system developed by LOGICDATA. With ISP,
a possible bruise hazard is significantly decreased.
Danger: However, in exceptional cases a certain bruise hazard may be
present even with ISP activated because not only the motor control itself
but also the interaction between mechanics, motors and electronics is
crucial. Furthermore, stopping sensitivity is being influenced by
mechanical components, ambient conditions and the motor activity!
Therefore, LOGICDATA, as the control box manufacturer, cannot
completely eliminate this risk and we point out that we cannot be held
liable in the case of maloperation!
Consider following requirements for optimum operation of ISP:
To ensure the best possible operation of the anti-pinch function during
downwards travel, a mechanical braking system must be integrated in the
motor drive.
Note: Without such a braking system you have to expect decreased stop
sensitivity under load. However, when the desk is unloaded, the anti-
pinch function will operate correctly.
Note: As soon as ISP stops the movement of the height adjustable desk,
movement will only be allowed in the opposite direction (a movement in
the direction which triggered the ISP is not allowed)
