1) ESTOP (Emergency Stop)
(1) ESTOP instruction will stop the operation of PLC the moment it is executed.
(2) This instruction can be used in an emergency.
2) Program Example
THE ESTOP FUNCTION SHOULD NEVER BE USED IN PLACE OF AN INDUSTRY ACCEPTED AND AGENCY
MANDATED HARD WIRED E-STOP CIRCUIT. THIS IS NOT AN ACCEPTABLE PRACTICE IN THE U.S. AND
SHOULD NOT BE USED SOLEY FOR THE EMERGENCY STOPPING OF EQUIPMENT. IT IS THE USER’S
RESPONSIBILITY TO DESIGN THE PROPER E-STOP FUNCTIONALITY INTO THE CONTROL SYSTEM.
