3.6.3 A/C Power Input
1. 4A fuse for AC power input is recommended.
2. AC110V/ DC24V cables should not be installed within 4in. (100mm) from main circuit cable (high
voltage/high current) and I/O signal cable.
3. Power line filters are recommended to protect the PLC from power surges and EMI/RFI noise.
Note
(1) Isolate the grounding (E1) of lightning surge absorber from the grounding (E2) of the PLC.
(2) Select a suppressor model so that the maximum voltage may not exceed
the specified
allowable voltage of the suppressor.
4. Use an insulated shielding transformer or noise filter when there is a possibility of interference.
5. Input power wiring should be as short as possible.
6. Wiring of shielding transformer or noise filter should not be routed via a conduit.
3.6.4 I/O Device Wiring Concepts
1. The size of I/O device cable is limited to 22-14AWG (0.3~2 mm
2
) but it is recommended to select a
size (0.3 mm
2
) for ease of use.
2. I/O signal lines should be routed a minimum of 4in. (100mm) from high voltage/high current main
circuit cable.
