(4) Stopping tractor
1. Take a foot off from the HST pedal,
and press the brake pedal.
Place the range gear shift lever in
“Neutral” and PTO switch to “OFF”.
3. Engage the parking brake lever, then
take foot off from the brake pedal.
2. Pull throttle lever backward to lower
the engine speed.

Caution

DO NOT keep apart from the tractor in the state that the transmission gear is
placed in ‘Neutral’ and the parking brake is not applied. In ‘Neutral’ position, the
wheel may roll.
Apply the parking brake at all times before leaving the tractor.
If you release the HST pedal to “Neutral”, the
tractor shall be stopped without pressing the brake
pedal. It is an additional brake function of Hydro-
Static Transmission (HST). The following table
shows approximately braking distance of the HST.
The braking distance can be changed by adjusting
spring tension of the HST pedal linkage.
As the reference dimension (L) of the adjuster as
shown in the right figure is increased, the braking
distance shall be reduced, but the braking shock
transmitted to the operator can be increased.
