Emergency release for fifth wheel

In case of emergency, you can activate the emergency
release to lower the fifth wheel of the MT without a running
engine and without electricity.

The hexagon socket screw for the emergency release is
located on the bottom side of the hydraulic block for the fifth
wheel and is marked with the symbol for emergency release.
The block is mounted to the bottom side of the chassis at the
level of the steps.
The hexagon socket screw for the emergency release is
accessible from the right side of the vehicle.
WARNING!
Danger of injury!
There is a danger of injury if body parts get crushed
when lowering the fifth wheel.
X Make sure that nobody is near the fifth wheel or near
the trailer.
X Make sure that the trailer is lowered fully onto its
supports and secured against rolling away.
X Loosen the hexagon socket screw with the Allan key (SW 5)
Do not loosen the securing element 2; this prevents the
hexagon socket screw from falling out.
3 The fifth wheel lowers all the way.
