At our plant, the MT motor is filled with an oil with
viscosity class SAE-15W/40.
Viscosity
For cold starts at low and high temperatures, it is important to
have an oil viscosity that ensures adequate lubrication at full
loads.

Fig. 74 shows which viscosity classes can be used in the
various temperature ranges.
The temperature values refer to constant ambient air
temperatures.
If the MT is to be used at temperatures below -25 °C, special
lubricants are required. Consult an authorised dealer for
recommendations as to a suitable lubricant.
We recommend using synthetic lubricants only at
temperatures below -25 °C.
