Fifth wheel / fifth wheel coupling
The fifth wheel serves to hitch the trailers or goosenecks to the
MT. It is mounted on the rear part of the chassis.
The fifth wheel coupling locks automatically when the king-pin
is inserted. It can be released by compressed air.
WARNING!
Danger of being crushed!
Persons can be injured when the fifth wheel is lowered
unintentionally.
X When working beneath the fifth wheel be sure to
secure it with sufficiently sized supports,
e.g. wooden beams.
In case of an emergency, the fifth wheel coupling can
be opened mechanically by the emergency hitch
release. Consult the operating manual for information.
