Lubricating points
Lubricate all lubricating points with an interval of 500 operating
hours, or monthly. The grease pocket, the locking mechanism,
and bearing on the fifth wheel coupling are exceptions.
If your MT is equipped with a central lubrication system, then
check if any fresh grease leaks out of the lubricating points
and if there is enough lubricating grease in the reserve tank.
The lubrication points of the brake shaft bearing and
the bottom steering knuckle connection of the front
axle must always be lubricated manually because they
cannot be serviced by the central lubrication system.
The front axle needs to be relieved during lubrication to
achieve an even grease distribution in the axle
bearings.
