What to do if LEVEL reading is correct but LOOP is stuck at 4 mA on Magnetrol Transmitter?
    • B
      Betty JonesSep 12, 2025
If the LEVEL reading on the Display is correct, but the LOOP is stuck on 4 mA, the basic configuration data might be questionable. Set the POLL ADR to 0 if you are not using HART multi-drop.

    Anthony KeithAug 25, 2025
Why are LEVEL readings on Magnetrol Measuring Instruments consistently inaccurate?
    • D
      Daniel VillanuevaAug 25, 2025
If LEVEL readings are consistently high or low by a fixed amount, the configuration data might not accurately match the probe length or tank height. Ensure the proper Probe Model, Level Offset, or probe length is configured. You can also adjust the trim level value by the amount of noted inaccuracy.

    Jill BakerAug 25, 2025
What to do if the LEVEL reading is stuck at full scale on Magnetrol eclipse 705?
    • L
      leslie71Aug 26, 2025
If the LEVEL reading on the display is stuck at full scale, the software might believe the probe is flooded. Check the actual level. If the probe isn't flooded, inspect for buildup or obstructions near the top of the probe. You may also select a higher dielectric range, check for condensation in the probe connection, or add Blocking Distance.

What does 'LVL < Probe Length' mean on Magnetrol Transmitter?
    • C
      Crystal SullivanSep 23, 2025
If 'LVL < Probe Length', the apparent position of the upper level pulse is beyond the end of the probe. Check the entered probe length and change the threshold to fixed.

    James SalasSep 12, 2025
What does it mean when EOP is less than probe length on Magnetrol Transmitter?
    • K
      Kara BrownSep 12, 2025
If the EOP (End of Probe) is less than the Probe Length, the End of Probe signal from a dry probe is out of range. Ensure the probe length is entered correctly. Also, set the transmitter to a lower dielectric range and ensure proper blocking distance.

What does 'FidShift' mean on Magnetrol Transmitter and how can I resolve it?
    • M
      Mr. John Jones Jr.Sep 18, 2025
If you see 'FidShift', it means the FidTicks have shifted from the expected value. Check the connection between the probe and the transmitter, check for moisture on top of the probe, and check for a damaged gold pin on the high-frequency connector.

How to resolve 'Lo Temperature' warning on Magnetrol eclipse 705 Measuring Instruments?
    • R
      Rebecca CoxSep 5, 2025
If the present temperature in the electronics compartment is below -40°F (-40°C), the transmitter may need to be moved to ensure the ambient temperature is within specification, or change to a remote transmitter.
  • L
    Lisa AndersonSep 6, 2025
How to fix inaccurate LEVEL, % OUTPUT, and LOOP values on Magnetrol Transmitter?
    • A
      Andrew AlvaradoSep 6, 2025
If the LEVEL, % OUTPUT, and LOOP values are all inaccurate, the basic configuration data might be questionable. Try reconfiguring the Probe Model, Probe Mount, Probe Length, or Level Offset. Also, ensure the Level is accurate and verify the 4 mA and 20 mA Loop values.
  • B
    Bruce KramerSep 18, 2025
What does 'Fid Sprd' mean on Magnetrol Transmitter, and what steps should I take to correct it?
    • P
      paul10Sep 18, 2025
If you see 'Fid Sprd', it means the Fiducial Ticks variation is excessive. Check the connection between the probe and the transmitter and check for moisture on top of the probe.
  • E
    Emily McguireAug 30, 2025
Why is the LEVEL value reading high when it should be zero on Magnetrol eclipse 705 Measuring Instruments?
    • L
      Lisa HarrisAug 30, 2025
If the LEVEL value is reading high when it should be zero, the transmitter might be loose or disconnected from the probe. Ensure the transmitter is securely connected to the probe.
