oneturn
Detachingtheconnectingrodbearingcap
•Turnthecrankshaftsothattheconnectingrod
bearingjournalislocatedbeforethecylinderof
thepistontoberemoved(TDC)
•Unscrewtheconnectingrodbearingbolts(1)
•Removetheconnectingrodbearingcap(2)and
bigendbearing(3)
Removingthepistons
•Marktheinstallationpositionandorientationofthe
piston(1)relativetothecylinderliner(2)
•Pullthepiston(1)withconnectingrodoutofthe
cylinderliner(2)
•Removethesmallendbearingfromthe
connectingrod
