55.2 JIB - BASKET CONTROLS AND ADJUSTMENTS
55.2.1 MOVING TUBE SHIMMING
Place the platform in the transport position, with the telescope retracted.
At the front of the telescope, ensure that the moving tube is correctly centered in the xed tube: identical
left and right, top and bottom dimensions (//, 055 - 28) and lower left and right dimensions identical
(/, 055 - 28).
At the rear of the telescope, shim the 4 upper sliding pads as required, with equal shims on either side
(diagram, 055 - 27).
Check the side clearance at the front and the back of the mobile telescope with two 0.5 mm (0.02 in)
thick shims.
Check the upper clearance at the front and the back of the mobile telescope with a 1 mm (0.04 in) thick
shim.
At the front of the telescope, repeat the checking operation with the moving tube extended halfway.
Identify the slide pads requiring adjustment.
Repeat the checking operation with the moving tube fully extended.
Re-shim those slide pads with excessive clearance in the three positions.
55.2.2 BASKET ROTATION HOSE BLEEDING
Perform several complete basket rotations to bleed the hoses and achieve a left-to-right reaction time
of under 2 s.
55.2.3 OVERLOAD SENSOR ADJUSTMENT
Adjust the sensors after changing a component performing an overload safety role (680.4.6 OVERLOAD
SENSOR ADJUSTMENT, 5 80)
