If these steps don't resolve the issue, the variable speed controller may need replacing.

Ensure there is a delay of 2 seconds between switching on and the closure of the line switch (KM1). If the delay equals 2 seconds, the variable speed controller is OK. If the delay is not 2 seconds, the variable speed controller is defective, and the driver of LINE switch is out of service. Also, check the power cables.
