55.3.2 TILTING CYLINDER REMOVAL  REFIT
Extend the moving tube approximately 1 m (3.28 ft), to expose
the cylinder foot pivot pin.
Extend the tilting cylinder to its maximum extent.
Set the platform hinge down on a jack to make the adjustments
(1, 055 - 29).
Extract the cylinder foot pin (1
, 055 - 40).
Fully retract the cylinder (2, 055 - 40).
Disconnect the 2 hoses (3, 055 - 40).
Remove the cylinder head pivot pin (4, 055 - 40).
Remove the tilting cylinder.
TILTING CYLINDER REFIT
TIP
Center the cylinder foot to pass it between moving tube pin strengthening rings.
Use the jack to assist ret.
2 Cylinder head pivot pin locking screw (4, 055 - 40): 26 N.m
(230.12lb-in) ±10%.
55.3.3 BASKET ROTATION CYLINDER REMOVAL
 REFIT
Turn the basket 45° towards the right, horizontally and in a high
position.
Remove the cylinder foot pivot pin (1, 055 - 39).
Return the basket to its axial position, identify and disconnect
the hoses.
Unscrew the cylinder head pivot pin nut (2, 055 - 39).
BASKET ROTATION CYLINDER REFIT
Tighten the nut of the cylinder head pivot pin (2
, 055 - 39) to bring
it into contact with the ball joint, without blocking it. Perform
several complete basket rotations to bleed the cylinder in order
to achieve a left-to-right reaction time of under 2 s.
2 Cylinder foot pivot pin locking screw (1, 0 55 - 39): 22 N.m
(194.72lb-in) ±10%.
55.3.4 LIFTING CYLINDER REMOVAL  REFIT
TIP
Provide means of lifting and blocking for:
- the lifting cylinder (3 62 kg (136 lbs)) (strap).
- the mechanically-welded link rod of the telescope hinge (3, 055 - 41).
- the telescope xed tube (1, 055 - 41) (hydraulic jack).
- the platform.
Raise the basket approx. 0.5 m (1-1/2 ft), block it with an axle stand
under its hinge. Block the telescope with a hydraulic jack (1, 055 -
41) on the slide pad at the end of the structure.
Pass a strap through the cylinder head (2
, 055 - 41).
