1. Important Information on Electrical Safety.
OBSERVE
THIS SAFETY
WARNING!
● All mini-club power packs must be plugged only into an outlet
with the household current indicated on the face plate of the
transformer.
● The power cords for several transformers and power packs
connected to the layout must always be connected to a common
power distribution strip. The transformers and power packs
must always be connected to or disconnected from the house-
hold current only by connecting or disconnecting the power cord
for the power distribution strip at the household current outlet.
● The power cord for the power distribution strip must first
be unplugged when connecting electrical power consumers
(examples: feeder connections, turnouts, signals, lights, etc.) to
a power pack or transformer. As a further safety measure, all of
the power cords for the individual power packs and transfor-
mers should be unplugged from the power distribution strip.
● The terminal outputs for two power packs or transformers must
never be connected together.
In adverse situations doing so will result in electrocu-
tion and loss of life.
If one of these power packs is plugged into a wall
outlet, a dangerous level of alternating current will be
present in the bare metal parts of the plugs for other
power packs connected to the layout.

The following safety precautions must always be observed when
connecting more than one
power pack or transformer to a model rail-
road layout or setup:
