8.5 Battery charger alternator
Characteristics: 12 V 40A
Test method:
- Check that the battery light on the engine protection
module is off when the generator is running.
- Check that the generator battery is in good
condition. Start the generator, check after about
5 minutes that the battery voltage is >13V; rising
with the battery in excellent condition and
charged, a voltage of around 14-14.3V should be
reached.
- Check that the driving belt is intact and well
tensioned
- Disconnect the two cables, 1.5 mm² red/ 1.5
mm² green
- Check with the generator running that there is +12V
(battery voltage) between each of them and the ground.
If not, look for the cause on the engine protection module,
on the cable junctions and the diode along the wiring.
Remedy: Replace the battery charger alternator
8.5 Alternatore carica batteria
Caratteristiche: 12 V 40A
Metodo di controllo:
- Verificare che la spia di batteria sul modulo
protezione motore a generatore in moto sia spenta
- Verificare che la batteria del generatore sia in
buono stato. Avviare il generatore, controllare
dopo circa 5 minuti che la tensione di batteria sia
superiore ai >13V a salire con batteria in ottimo
stato, già carica dovremmo raggiungere una
tensione compresa fra 14-14.3V circa
- Verificare che la cinghia di trasmissione sia
integra e bene in tiro
- Scollegare i 2 cavi di cablaggio rosso 1.5 mm²
/ verde 1.5 mm²
- Verificare, a generatore in moto, che fra ognuno
di essi e massa vi sia +12V (tensione batteria).
Se ciò non si verifica ricercare la causa su modulo
protezione motore, sulle giunzioni dei cavi e diodo
lungo il cablaggio
Rimedio: Sostituire l’alternatore di carica
batteria
