Security Indicator Light
If the security indicator light turns on/
flashes while driving, do not stop the
engine (leave it operating) and have
the vehicle inspected at an Authorized
Mazda Dealer. If you stop the engine ,
you may not be able to start it again.
If the engine cannot be started, switch
the vehicle power OFF, place the key in
another position within the operation
range, and then restart the engine.
Check the security indicator light and if
it does not turn off, such as it remains
on or flashes, switch the vehicle power
OFF, wait for a while, and then restart
the engine.
If the engine does not start after three
attempts, a system malfunction may
have occurred. Have the vehicle
inspected by an Authorized Mazda
Dealer.
NOTE
When repairing the immobilizer
system, the key codes will need to be
reprogrammed. Bring all the remaining
keys to an Authorized Mazda Dealer.
