After successfully passing the selfcheck, Menu Page 1 („Main
Menu“) is displayed, the rotor is lifted up and the green led is
lit. If one or more of these tests fail, Menu Page 1 is displayed
and the red led is lit. The device is locked with either a „Perm
(„Permission“, AMB fault) or a „DrivePerm“ („Drive Permis-
sion“, Drive fault) fault. Using the selfcheck monitor the cause
of the lock (the failed selfchecks) can be viewed. If after star-
tup the red led is blinking, a warning or selfcheck warning is
present. Selfcheck warnings are like their counterpart, the
(operational) warning purely informative and do not limit ope-
ration.
Phase 2: Device supervision during operation
After successfully passing the selfcheck phase, another set of
system values is constantly monitored and checked against
pre-established limits during operation of the device. If a value
is out of range, a warning or fault is reported and in case of a
fault the drive is shut down. The corresponding messages can
be viewed with the fault and warning monitor.
The device supervision process is handling selfcheck faults,
selfcheck warnings, faults and warnings in the same way.
However, faults and selfcheck faults must be reset by the ope-
rator or a PLC and they are stored in the fault history. War-
nings will be cleared once the cause has disappeared.
Selfcheck warnings cannot be cleared, they remain present
until the next selfcheck is executed and the cause has disap-
peared at this moment. Both warnings and selfcheck warnings
are not written to the fault history.
