2 Simultaneously press the button for two-cup dispensing and the
On / Off button for more than 2 seconds.
The symbol for decalcifying ashes and the symbol for the drip tray is
illuminated.
3 Empty the drip tray and then reinsert it without coffee grounds container,
and place the coffee grounds container under the milk shower.
The symbol for the water reservoir is illuminated.
4 Flip up the lid of the water reservoir (Fig. A, no. 7) and pull the water
reservoir up and out of the appliance.
5 Pour the descaler powder into a separate bowl lled with 0.5 l of hot
water. Stir in the descaler powder (e.g. with a long spoon). As soon as the
descaler powder is completely dissolved, pour the descaler solution into
the water tank.
6 Re-insert the water tank.
Warning!
The decalcifying agent can cause skin irritations.
Comply with the safety instructions and the quantity information specied
on the decalcifying agent packaging.
7 Press the button for brewing strength to start the integrated cleaning
program.
The integrated decalcifying program will start. Water ows inside the appli-
ance into the drip tray in multiple intervals. This process lasts approximately
15 minutes. Subsequently, the symbol for the milk shower will be illumi-
nated.
8 Ensure that the coffee grounds container is placed under the milk shower.
9 Turn the rotary switch for the milk shower clockwise to open the milk
shower.
Water ows out of the milk shower into the coffee grounds container. The
symbol for the milk shower ashes during this process. Subsequently, the
symbol for the drip tray will be illuminated.
