Drive Shaft Repair (MCM Sterndrive Models)
Removal
IMPORTANT: It is not necessary to remove the engine to service the drive shaft.
1. Remove top and bottom drive shaft shields around transom end and engine end of drive
shaft.

c-Bolt 3/3-16 x 7/8 In. (22.2 mm); 4 Used
d-Nut 3/8 16: 4 Used
e-Screws (3 Used Hidden In This View)
2. Suitably mark drive shaft U-joint yokes/flange connections (engine output and drive unit
input) to assist in exact same positioning during assembly at engine and transom end.
