Reversed signal control with EJ05 is achieved using a
different plate with crossed channels. No external tubing is
required in this case.
3.3.1 Attaching other accessories to the
actuator (actuator model EJ_U)
Any positioner, limit switch or other accessory which supports
the VDI/VDE 3845 connection standard can be attached to
the actuator. In such cases the corresponding bracket is used,
as well as compressed air tubing, if necessary. The actuator
also has a VDI/VDE 3845 standard mounting interface for
solenoid valves. No tubing is required between the valve and
the actuator if a compatible solenoid valve is used. A separate
adapter is used to implement the mounting interface for the
EJ05 actuator (see Figure 12).
3.4 Detaching the actuator from the valve
The actuator is detached in the same way that it is attached,
but the order is reversed. First, the positioner, or any other
accessory, is detached from the actuator, and the coupling
plate is detached from the drive shaft. Next, the bushing is
loosened by turning the tightening screw counter-clock-
wise. The tightening screw also acts as an ejector. The
actuator can finally be detached from the valve after the
screws that attach the actuator to it have been removed.
The actuator must always be depressurized, and the air
supply tubing detached, before the actuator is removed.
The respective positions of the actuator and the valve, and
the valve stem key and the corresponding keyway must be
considered before they are detached. This makes reinstal-
lation easier.
