Parameter description

Port Members:

A check box is provided for each port of a private VLAN. When checked, port iso-

lation is enabled on that port. When unchecked, port isolation is disabled on

that port. By default, port isolation is disabled on all ports.

3-2-6. PoE

Power over Ethernet (PoE) technology allows IP telephones, wireless LAN access

points, and other powered devices (PDs) to receive power and transfer data over existing

LAN cabling.

Function description

In PoE Port Management function, user can configure the settings about PoE.

The switch complies with IEEE 802.3af protocol and is capable of detecting auto-

matically that whether the device linked to the port on the switch is PD (Powered

Device) or not. The switch also manages the power supplement based on the class

of the PD, and it will stop supplying the power once the power required by the PD

excesses the class, short circuit or over temperature occurs.
