Applications
The OXIVARIO process uses alkaline
cleaning and is designed to meet the
special demands involved in the
preparation of surgical instruments.
This process is especially suited to the
preparation of OP instruments, i. e., for
high-frequency surgery, bone surgery,
for instruments that dry up during long
lag times until processing and for
instruments affected by antiseptics.
The cleaning process is gentle enough
for minimally invasive instruments,
including optics, as long as the
manufacturer allows alkaline cleaning
methods.
However, this process is NOT
recommended for anodized aluminum.
The materials in titanium alloys, e.g.,
implants, may vary in terms of
tolerance. Consult the manufacturer to
be sure.
The ORTHOVARIO program is
designed for the material-friendly
preparation of alkaline-sensitive
instruments made of aluminum, in
particular for instruments used in
orthopedics, e.g., for motor systems.
The oxidizing effects of this process
make it UNSUITABLE for titanium
alloys, in particular for colour-coded
implants.
,
Due to the high efficacy of the
Oxivario and Orthovario processes,
it is important to lubricate joints and
contact parts on instruments
pre-sterilization. Please refer to the
instrument manufacturer for
guidance.
