3 Setup
At the main menu( See Figure 2.5 ), use and as necessary to select “Options” , and
press START to enter “Options” menu:
Options
Strip Printer
Critical Value Serial Port
Grade Serial No.
Realtime Clock

Using this menu, the operator can:
Correct the system clock;
Set the options for printer and serial port;
Select the reagent strip , testing results output unit and critical values;
Show serial No. of the instrument.
3.1 Reagent Strip
NOTE: The name of the reagent strip being used must be the same as the reagent strip
selected by the “Options>Strip” menu. Use of any other strip will cause erroneous results.
At the “Options” menu( See Figure 3.1 ), use and to select “Strip”, press START to enter
the “Options>Strip” menu:

Use and as necessary to select the designated reagent strip, press START to validate the
new selection.
3.2 Critical Value
Critical values are a set of values to be compared with the testing results. If the result of a
certain parameter is the same as or higher than the corresponding critical value, a “*” will be
inserted in front of the corresponding row while the report being displayed and printed.
